Historic Preservation Commission

The Historic Preservation Commission shall act in an advisory role to the City Council regarding the identification and protection of local historic and archaeological resources. The Commission shall work toward the continuing education of citizens regarding historic preservation and community history.

The Commission has been approved for a reconnaissance level survey grant from the Utah State Historic Preservation Office of $15,000 with the city matching another $15,000.

Main St. Veteran Banner Program

This project offers a meaningful opportunity to honor veterans—both living and deceased—who have resided in Spanish Fork or within the 84660 zip code. A part of the proceeds may go to support the Spanish Fork Historic Preservation Commission.

Veterans will be displayed on one side of a two-sided banner along Main Street on and around Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and in the Fiesta Days parade in July if we have the volunteers to carry them. Orders must be placed two months in advance to have your banner posted for a holiday.
