Toilet paper and human waste. Wipes—even those labeled “flushable”—grease, feminine products, kitty litter, medications and hazardous materials should not go down the drain.
Sewer at a Glance
For residential properties, the City is responsible for repairs between the sewer main and the property line. Property owners are responsible for repairs from the property line to the building and for cleaning/clearing the entire service line.
Know where your sewer lateral is before planting trees and avoid planting directly near it. If you suspect roots are entering your line, contact a plumber for an inspection.
