Record Requests

The Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA) is Utah’s law governing public access to government records. Many commonly requested City records are available directly on this website, including meeting agendas and minutes, but additional records are maintained by the City Recorder’s Office.

Under the Utah Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA), a
records request must meet the requirements of Utah Code § 63G-2-204.

Utah Code § 63G-2-204(1)(a) requires a person making a records request
to submit a written request to the governmental entity that retains
the record. The request must contain:

• The requester's name
• Mailing address
• Email address
• Daytime telephone number
• A description of the record requested that identifies the record with reasonable specificity
