Spanish Fork City is served by the Fourth Judicial District Court, Spanish Fork Department. Criminal calendars are held Mondays and Thursdays beginning at 8 a.m. Afternoons are often used for longer trial settings and preliminary hearings. The Assistant City Attorney and the Prosecuting Attorney are not available during court hours.
Legal Services
The City Attorney is appointed by the City Manager after consultation with the Governing Body. The City is also served by an Assistant City Attorney and a Prosecuting Attorney.
The Legal Department serves as legal advisor to the City Council, City departments, commissions, committees, and boards. It reviews and prepares all ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and other legal documents. It also represents the City in most litigation involving the City and prosecutes misdemeanor violations of state and local laws.
