• Help make Adventure Heights a welcoming place for everyone.

  • Supervise children and help them use equipment appropriately.
  • Follow posted signs, equipment instructions and temporary closures.
  • Share play spaces and allow others a turn when equipment is busy.
  • Keep paths, ramps and equipment entrances clear.
  • Respect visitors who may need additional time, assistance or personal space.
  • Dispose of litter and help protect park landscaping and equipment.
  • Service animals are welcome. They must be house-trained and remain under their handler’s control. A leash, harness or tether is required unless it interferes with the animal’s work or the handler’s disability prevents its use; in those cases, control must be maintained through voice, signals or other effective means. Handlers are responsible for cleaning up after their animals. Please give working service animals space and ask the handler before approaching or petting them.

Adventure Heights Park welcomes visitors of all ages and abilities to play, explore and spend time together. The park features an all-abilities playground, a wheelchair-accessible swing and a sensory garden, offering different ways to enjoy the outdoors.

We encourage visitors to share equipment, respect each other’s space and allow everyone time to participate.

The wheelchair-accessible swing allows riders to enjoy swinging while remaining in their wheelchairs.

For access a key or staff assistance is required.

Before using the swing, read and follow the posted operating instructions and use limits. Keep the platform entrance and surrounding swing area clear, and allow other visitors time to enter and exit.

If the swing appears damaged or does not operate correctly, please stop using it and report the issue to Parks & Recreation Department at 801-804-4600.

Splash Pad and Water Features

Enjoy water play at Adventure Heights during the operating season.

Operating season: May 15th
Water-feature hours: September 15th

Daily maintenance break: The splash pad shuts off for approximately one hour around 2:00 p.m. each day for water circulation, filtration and routine water-quality and chemical maintenance. Please wait until the splash pad reopens before resuming play.

Help keep the splash pad clean, safe and enjoyable for everyone:

• Children must be supervised by a responsible adult.
• Walk carefully; wet surfaces may be slippery.
• Wear appropriate swim attire. Children who are not toilet trained must wear swim diapers.
• Change diapers in the restroom or designated changing area.
• Do not use the splash pad if you have diarrhea.
• Do not drink the spray water or place your mouth over water jets.
• Keep food, drinks and glass containers out of the water-play area.
• Keep pets, bicycles, scooters and skateboards outside the splash pad.
• Do not block water jets, climb on spray equipment or bring dirt and debris into the play area.
• Play respectfully—avoid pushing, rough play or interfering with others.
• Follow posted signs and staff instructions, including maintenance and weather closures.

Adventure Heights’ picnic pavilion offer a place to gather, share a meal and enjoy a day at the park.

The reservable pavilion is available only with a confirmed rental, even when it appears unoccupied. The park’s non-reservable pavilion is available on a first-come, first-served basis and does not require a reservation.

Please leave the pavilion ready for the next group:

• Clean tables and pick up litter in the surrounding area.
• Place waste in the appropriate containers.
• Remove food, decorations and personal belongings.
• Use decorations that will not damage park structures.
• Keep paths and entrances clear for all visitors.

Follow the terms of your reservation and finish cleanup within your reserved time.

The sensory garden offers another way to experience Adventure Heights, with opportunities to explore through the senses and enjoy a quieter moment during your visit.

Explore, listen and discover in Adventure Heights’ sensory garden. Visitors can make music with percussion drums, a xylophone and chimes, look for animals in discovery activities, and enjoy large animal features, including a turtle. These hands-on experiences offer playful opportunities for visitors of all ages and abilities to explore at their own pace.

Please use instruments and garden features gently, take turns and be considerate of other visitors. Help protect the plants and keep pathways clear so everyone can enjoy the space.
