Youth City Council

The Spanish Fork Youth City Council gives students in grades 9–12 an opportunity to serve their community, develop leadership skills, and learn how local government works. Members meet monthly, participate in service projects and community events, and have opportunities to interact with City and state leaders.

Youth City Council members are expected to regularly attend meetings and service activities, including opportunities during Fiesta Days and other City events throughout the year.

Meetings & Service

The Youth City Council typically meets on the second Thursday of each month at 4 p.m. Members also participate in service projects and City events throughout the year.

Past activities have included Fiesta Days, Wings & Wheels, Harvest Moon Hurrah, senior activities, Legislative Day at the Utah State Capitol, and community appreciation events.

Member Expectations

Members should plan to:

Participate consistently in monthly meetings and service activities
Attend Fiesta Days service opportunities in July
Be punctual and communicate when unable to attend
Represent Spanish Fork City in a positive and responsible way

Executive Board members also attend a monthly planning meeting and take on additional leadership responsibilities.
