Planning Commission

The Spanish Fork Planning Commission reviews land use and development matters and makes recommendations to the City Council on certain applications and planning issues. The Commission also holds public hearings and considers items such as subdivisions, zone changes, General Plan amendments and other land use requests.

Planning Commission meetings are open to the public and are held in the City Council Chambers at 40 S Main St.

The Planning Commission may review or make recommendations on matters such as:

  • Subdivisions
  • Zone changes
  • General Plan amendments
  • Conditional use permits
  • Development applications requiring Planning Commission review
  • Amendments to land use regulations
  • Other planning and zoning matters assigned by City Code

Some items are decided by the Planning Commission, while others are forwarded to the City Council with a recommendation.

Residents may attend Planning Commission meetings and provide comments during scheduled public hearings. Public hearing notices include information about the proposal, meeting date and how to participate.
